I am Stefanie, your South Shore MA family photographer, and I have been doing this for 21 years. I have a background in social work, which honestly just means I am really good at reading people and keeping things loose even when someone is melting down. My studio is in Marion, MA, one block from the beach, inside a restored 1905 carriage house with beautiful natural light. Golden hour sessions on the beach are my personal favorite for families because the light is soft, warm, and does not make anyone squint. We can also shoot on location wherever makes the most sense for your crew, South Shore parks, Cape Cod beaches, your backyard, wherever feels like you.

Before your session, I will send over a short questionnaire so I can get to know your family a little better, who is coming, any little ones or pets joining in, and what feel you are going for.
Then we hop on a planning call to:
• Talk wardrobe and coordinating colors, not matching, just coordinating
• Nail down the best location and time of day for your crew
• Make sure everyone knows what to expect so nobody is caught off guard
Want to show up feeling fully put together? Add hair and makeup for $150 and my glam team will handle the rest.
This is where the magic happens. I direct the whole thing, including where to put your hands and how to actually look at each other instead of the camera. You do not have to know how to pose. I have 21 years of getting families to relax, laugh, and forget the camera is even there.
Kids get bored fast, so we move quickly and keep it playful. Pets are welcome the entire time, on leash or off depending on where we are shooting.
And yes, we will laugh. A lot.
About 10 to 14 days after your session, we will meet in person or over Zoom for your big reveal. You will see every image and choose your favorites together as a family.
Each session includes a product credit that goes toward your favorites, the same model as my Senior sessions. There are no digital files included. Instead, your images become something you actually display: prints, an album, or wall art, not a folder buried on your phone.

My kids will not sit still for photos. Is that a problem?
Not even a little. Wiggly toddlers, kids who would rather run than pose, teenagers who insist they hate this, I have seen it all in 21 years, and I promise it is not a problem. We build in time to let everyone warm up, and some of my favorite images happen in the chaos, not despite it.
Can we bring our pets?
Please do. Dogs, cats on a leash, the occasional bulldog who refuses to look at the camera, all welcome. Pets are part of the family, and they belong in the photos too.
What if we have a big group, like grandparents and cousins?
That is exactly what the Signature Session is built for. Two hours gives everyone time to settle in, and we can break the group into smaller combinations: the whole family, just the grandkids, just the couple, so you walk away with a full range of images, not just one big lineup shot.
How soon will we see our photos?
About 10 to 14 days after your session, we will set up a reveal appointment, in person or over Zoom, to look through everything together and choose your favorites.

Coordinating, not matching. Pick two or three colors that work together and let everyone wear what feels like them within that palette. Every family gets a style guide before the session so nobody is left guessing or panicking the morning of.
